Dear Business Owner:

On behalf of Junior Lone Star Football Club, I would like to kindly ask you and your company for the opportunity to become a sponsor of our club. Junior Lone Star FC is one of the premier amateur African soccer clubs in the United States based at the McCreesh Playground in Southwest Philadelphia. Living in the low-income community of Southwest Philadelphia, the Club members are mainly comprised of West African immigrants from Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea, and the Ivory Coast who fled civil wars in their respective countries to come to the United States to better their lives.

The club has been running for nearly 11 years now and in that time we have had over 200 different young people use our training facilities, come along to our training sessions or play for one of our three league teams. The club also has very strong links to its local community and to the Southwest Community Development Corporation which it has helped with clean-up campaigns and other community initiatives in the city.

Unlike other clubs that have sponsors and donors, we have been a self-supported club; however, that hasn’t stopped us from having successes on the field. Our various teams have won several State and Regional Cups. In fact, our Senior Team is presently the 2011 Philadelphia Sierra Soccer League Champions, our U-23s were Finalists in the 2012 United States Adult Soccer Association Regionals, and our U-19/20s were ranked 4th in Eastern Pennsylvania during the 2012 season.

We are very proud of our achievements and the hard work of a lot of people connected with the club has also led to our on-field successes; however, there are many expenses connected with running the club and we rely for funding solely on our own fundraising events and the support of local businesses and companies like yours.

Last season, our Senior Team played its inaugural season in the prestigious National Premier Soccer League while our Under-19/20s played their inaugural season in the United Soccer League Super-20 League.

The Club hopes to send both teams in the same leagues for next season and in order to fully participate, we need sponsors to help defray the costs for registrations, travels, administrative, and operational activities; therefore, we need all the help we can get in making the dreams come true for these youth and young adults who had already been through a lot. We were hoping that this might be something you would kindly consider helping us with.

We have enclosed a Sponsorship Package designed to let your company’s support provide financial assistance to deserving players within our various teams and assist the community as well. If you can help our Club in any other way, we would wholeheartedly accept any financial assistance or services you are willing to contribute to our Club.
