Dear Coach/Manager,
Junior Lone Star FC invites you to its second annual 5v5 Easter Soccer Festival. Below you will find the tournament rules, a medical release form, and one roster form.
A reminder that per Philadelphia's playgrounds policy, alcohol is not allowed. Coolers may be searched and alcohol will be removed. Failure to comply will result in removal from the site and disqualification of the team.
RULES
DIVISIONS:
Youth (16 - 18)
Adult (Open 18+)
AGE CLASSIFICATION:
Youth (must be born between 8/1/94 - 7/31/97)
Adult (must be born on or before 7/31/94)
ROSTER:
7 player roster - 6 minimum.
Rosters are frozen after check-in.
Players are only allowed to compete with one team. If a player switches teams, both teams are disqualified.
5 players on the field with 1 designated as GK.
PLAYERS EQUIPMENT:
Same shirts, numbered if possible.
Home team changes shirts if same colors as opposing team. Home team listed first.
Shin guards are required.
No metal studs are allowed.
COST
$50 per team payable before Wednesday, March 15, 2013.
Prizes for all Winners and Finalists.

2 X 15 minutes running clock with 2 minute half time.
3/6 games guarantee depending on Advancement.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT:
3-Game Guarantee with Playoffs in each division.
Teams play round robin in qualifying pool.
4 brackets per division, 4 teams per bracket if possible.
3 points for win, 1 point for tie, 0 points for loss.
Top 2 teams from each bracket advance to knockout stage.
In case of tie, winner decided by head to head record.
If still tied, decided by best goal differential.
If still tied, team with the most goals.
If still tied, penalty kick shootout to decide.
If knockout stage game is tied after regulation, 5 minutes golden goal.
If still tied, penalty shootout to decide.
PENALTY KICK SHOOTOUT:
Penalty box reduced to 8 yards.
Kicker starts at half line, Goalkeeper on the goal line.
Referee signals start witg a blow of whistle.
Kicker has 5 seconds to shoot the ball, no rebounds.
Goal is awarded if ball passes the goal line, shot must have occured before the 5 second rule.
3 shooters.
Team leading after 3 kicks each, wins.
If tied after 3, go to golden goal thereafter by 1, 1, 1, 1.
If tied after 7 kicks, return to shooter #1.
REFEREES:
Each match is controlled by one referee who has full authority to enforce the Laws of the Game.
FOULS:
FIFA rules apply
Red Card = player out of Game. 5 minute penalty wherein team must play short for full 5 minutes.
Double yellow cards and Red card miss next game.
Double red card expelled from tournament.
OFF-SIDES:
No Off-Sides.
THROW-INS, FREE KICKS, GOAL KICKS, CORNER KICKS, KICK-INS:
Are all Indirect.
DEFENSIVE WALLS:
8 yards from spot of ball.
GOALKEEPERS:
Pass backs cannot be picked up by GK.
SPORTSMANSHIP:
Violent or dangerous play or foul and abusive language is carded.
SUBSTITUTES:
Substitutions on the fly from midfield. Player "A" must be off before Player "B" enters.
LATE TEAM RULE:
The team late within the first 5 minutes, receives 1 goal against them. Teams more than 8 minutes late forfeits the game with a default score of 2-0 to the opposing team. If both teams late more than 8 minutes, the game will be recorded as a 2-0 loss for both teams.
PROTESTS:
All decisions on the field will be made by the referee. Decisions of the Tournament Committee are final and no protests will be granted.
CHECK-IN:
All teams are required to check-in 45 minutes prior to their first game.
At check-in, the coach/manager will be required to bring the following items:
1. Valid age verification for the youth divisions in the form of player pass, birth certificate, passport, drivers license, school ID (if birth date is shown).
2. Two (2) copies of the roster filled out completely.
3. Copy of the JLSFC 5v5 Release Form completely filled out and signed by the player and/or parent, if under 18.
