Keighley RUFC is saddened at the loss of Danny Jones in such tragic circumstances. The Rugby community will mourn his loss and we wish to extend our deepest sympathies to Danny's family and friends at this incredibly sad time.

A Keighley RUFC spokesman said:

“Our thoughts go out to Lizzie and the family in such a difficult time, many of the lads were down at Cougar Park on Sunday in support in what can only be described as a truly challenging time for them, one of our No.6 shirts signed by many of our players from the seniors and juniors was added to many shirts left in tribute of Danny.

We have made an initial donation to the RFL Benevolent Fund of £200; the players are on tour this weekend and will be holding a further collection. We are currently in our off season but at the first home league game of the new season we will be having a collection with all proceeds going to the fund.”
