Kempston became Merit League Grand Final champions just two weeks after securing the Youngs Bitter Merit League.
Northampton Casuals made the trip to Kempston off the back of a big win against Bletchley to reach the final.
Casuals had the majority of possession in the first half but scores were tied at the half at 14-14. Peters and Bice scoring for Ks.
The second half saw Ks take the lead for the first time and push to a ten point lead, thanks to a Hanney try and Penalty from Campbell.
Causal bounced back with two tries of their own after a flurry of Yellow cards saw both teams rescued in numbers. The match ended at 24-24 and extra time beckoned.
Two five minute halves was enough for Ks to convert another penalty and see the game out.
A brilliant spectacle of rugby saw Ks win the Grand Final and capped off a great season and was further progress for a team that nearly folded just over 3 seasons ago.
