Kendal County and Ambleside United remain second and third after sharing the points in a thrilling derby clash at Parkside Road.

After a tight and fast start County opened the scoring through Sam Cooper who ran onto a through ball to slip the ball home.

County doubled their lead 5 minutes before half time when Joe Baker was dragged to the floor,leaving Steven Robinson to step up and fire under the keeper for 2-0.

In the second half County became complacent and sat back allowing United to press on, and it was to prove costly as Mike Barron scored from a cross from the right.

County looked to have weathered the United storm but the visitors had other ideas as Mike Rushton popped up with an equaliser with just minutes to go to earn a share of the spoils.
