Community Schemes 1 of 3

1. Academy

The Kent Football Academy (K.E.F.A) was established in 2010 with the aim of providing high quality, accessible Academy standard coaching for boys/girls aged from 5 to 16 who play football to a high standard. The scheme is run to improve the players knowledge, technique and application in order to encourage quicker development.

The Academy provides FA to UEFA Qualified coaching. All coaches within the organisation hold a minimum of FA Level 1 Coaching Qualification, a certificate in Safeguarding Children, a certificate in Emergency AID and are CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) checked.

Kent Football Academy concentrates on themed sessions based on individual or position specific topics and highlights the main skills and attributes required by the players. These are then coached to the boys verbally and visually before the trainees practise them both unappossed and appossed.

In addition, to the technical application of the game we also provide detailed information and advice on fitness and diet. These are two overlooked things in football but we feel at Kent Football Academy that if the player wants to play football to the highest level and reach their potential they are topics which are important. Trainees will be taught the different types of fitness training, how it affects their bodies and how it can be improved. In addition, trainees will learn how diet is important within football and what they can do to ensure their diet is suitable for football development.

The Kent Football Academy Friday evening 7pm till 8pm @ Trinity School, Erith Road, Belvedere, Kent, DA17 6HT. The cost per session is currently £8 per trainee. Once in the Academy, if you miss two consecutive weeks without notification to the Academy Director then you will be instantly removed from the setup.
