Quater finals are never for the faint hearted and given the 'soft day' blarney for peeing it down were we likely to wittness a running game with silky handling. From the kick off KRFC decided to bin the theroy that only forwards can play in heavy rain and surprised all with a display of handling that certainly caught Oundle of guard. The intent was obvious, lets give of our best, play to are potential and the rest will look after itself and it did. All across the park blues fronted up and took a deserved 24 to nil lead at half time.
Through the second half Oundle fought hard to get back in the game and scored first through strong forward play. Kettering sensing it was time to up the intensity pressurised Oundle at every opportunity and eventually broke free through the middle of the park to score under the posts and effectively put the game beyound Oundle. Both teams continued to give there all in very tough conditions each scoring before the ref blow the final whistle. A great team performance lads.
