Baseball

Our ground is also home to Richmond Baseball & Softball Club. They play predominantly May-September

Richmond Baseball & Softball Club welcomes players of all ages and abilities. We pride ourselves on finding a team for everyone who regularly trains with us.

Training with Richmond is always free (for indoor training sessions there will be a small contribution to hiring the sports hall).

To get involved and be included in 2012 training and team notices please register [here].

Senior Baseball

Our senior (adult) baseball teams will again play in official British Baseball leagues in 2012. Spring training will start indoors in late January and move outdoors a few weeks later. The season starts in late April and runs through to September.

We welcome men and women of all abilities, from total rookies looking to learn baseball basics to the highly experienced looking to play competitive ball and enhance their skills. We provide all playing equipment including baseball gloves. Register your interest [here].

Youth Baseball

Our youth programme is for boys and girls aged six and upwards. No experience is required and all playing equipment is provided (bats, balls, gloves, etc.). Training and games will run from April/May through to August. Full coaching will be provided by our qualified and CRB checked volunteer coaches. For boys and girls aged 13 to 16 the club will be running indoor midweek spring training from late January.

Parents/guardians, please register your child’s interest [here].

Slow-pitch Softball

The club doesn’t currently run a slow-pitch softball programme but would be keen to hear from men and women in the area who want to play softball in 2012. If there is sufficient demand the club will be happy to facilitate forming a team or teams.

The club’s facilities (details below) make an excellent venue for hosting midweek evening softball games during the summer months May to August next year. Register your interest [here].

Volunteers & Spectators

We’re always happy to have spectators to our home games. If you feel you have something to contribute in a non-playing capacity please get in touch. We can provide training for umpires and scorers (both of which attract paid game fees) and welcome new coaches. We also welcome active volunteers wanting to help the club develop and grow on and off the field.
