Keynsham U15's played St Mary's Old Boys U15's at home on Sunday 1st April with Frank Spitzer sprinting down the pitch within the opening minutes to score the first try for the home side closely followed by a try by jake warren, safely converted by Toby Williams. St Mary's successfully converted a try bringing the score to 12 - 7 however newcomer Noah McCarthy (supported by the 'old hands' of the Keynsham squad) outpaced his opponent down the field to score another try for Keynsham, once again converted by Toby Williams. With the clock ticking towards half time, quick thinking and accurate ball handling set jake warren up for his second try of the match which was converted by Toby, bringing the score at half time to 26-7 to Keynsham.
Despite their dominance of the first half Keynsham appeared to lose their focus during the first 15 minutes of the second. Under pressure from the visitors, George Pidgen secured a further try for Keynsham which was quickly matched by St Mary's. As the full time whistle beckoned however the home side's determination and team work paid off as Ryan Harding stretched just far enough to place the ball over the line to score the final try of the match as he was brought down by a St Mary’s tackle . Final score 36 – 12 to Keynsham.
