KRFC Dog policy
NO dogs allowed on the Grass, Please read
The playing fields of Keynsham rfc are private property.
Dogs are only allowed in the Clubhouse, patio and on the car park NOT on the fields, Would club members and visitors to KRFC please abide by the KRFC Management committee ruling.
Contact with dog faeces can lead to reduced vision and blindness through an infection known as toxocariasis.
Children are most likely to develop toxocariasis, especially children aged 2-7 years, in a rugby situation children of all ages could be affected
Toxocariasis is an infection caused by the larvae of parasitic worms
Toxocara canis and Toxocara cati - that usually live in the intestines of dogs and cats. Eggs from the Toxocara worms pass into the stools of dogs and cats and can contaminate faeces
There are three forms of toxocariasis:
Covert toxocariasis - this form of the disease is by far the most common. It has mild symptoms or may have no symptoms at all.
Visceral larva migrans - this form of the disease develops due to severe or repeated toxocariasis infection. It can cause swelling of the body's organs or central nervous system (the brain, spinal cord and the nerves connected to it).
Ocular larva migrans - this form of the disease occurs when a Toxocara worm enters an eye. It can cause reduced vision, and in some cases blindness, in the affected eye.
Once Toxocara eggs enter a child's body, they hatch into larvae that penetrate through walls of the digestive tract and may migrate to a child's liver, lungs, eyes, and elsewhere

Could i also add that it is important that glass and sharp broken plastic is also picked up after the boot sales, as i recently cleared away some from the bottom fields on a Wednesday evening.
