1s Win Again But 2s Come Up Short!
The 1st XI continued their good recent form with a win away at Marcham but unfortunately the 2s came up short in the league and cup!
In Division 3, the 1st XI beat Marcham CC by 85 runs in a convincing win. KCC posted 283/7 with Andy Oliver (107) Craig Woods (64) and Jimmy Ewers (41*) top scoring. KCC then bowled Marcham out for 198 with Steve Litten (4/40) and Dan Farrant (3/47) the pick of the bowlers!
On Saturday in Division 6, the 2nd XI were comprehensively beaten away at Oxenford CC by 9 wickets. KCC posted 108/10 with only Adam Tait (40) troubling the scorers. Oxenford then knocked off the runs losing just one wicket.
On Sunday, the 2s hosted Oxenford again in the SF of the Steve Dixon Memorial Cup hoping to reverse Saturday's result! Unfortunately the fell short again as Oxenford posted 180/7 with Sahil Kaylan (3/13) the best of KCCs bowlers. Kidlington then struggled to 129/10.
