The Green's take on Cirenceter Town at Yarnton Road this evening in the league, here's the team news.....read on

Last Saturday had a really good 5–2 win at Mangotsfield Rovers on Saturday’ which was thoroughly deserved and makes it now 10 game unbeaten in the league.

The whole team played their part and as the players were coming off at the end of the game, the Mango supporters and committee members were saying very complementary things about our side, which is always very nice to hear.

On the day we fell a goal behind early on and could have been two down, but for a wonderful save from our keeper, Sam Warrell. Anaclet Odihambo soon popped up with a brace of goals to give us the lead and Duran Martin netted another before half time to make it 3—1.
Anaclet was holding his hammy just before the break, and though he started the second half he soon had to be substituted. Let’s hope he’s a quick healer. Ben Brown netted his first goal for the club heading home at the second attempt after a Lewis Coyle corner, and Duran made it 5—1 with a superb 5th goal. The Mango’s netted their 2nd goal in injury time, so it finished 5-2

Tonight's visitors Cirencester Town are a team that we have played before but not for many years. However, we have visited their ground where on occasions we have been fixtured to play teams that have ground shared with them, back in our Hellenic League days.

Cirencester certainly haven't had the sort of season they were hoping for after their relegation from the Premier Division last season. This season The Centurions have had a less than spectacular start to their campaign, where they currently occupy 17th place in the table having taken 15 points from 15 games played and have a goal difference of –9. We, on the other hand, are in 11th place in the table and have 24 points from 14 games played with our goal difference a healthy +10.

It has been confirmed that Anaclet Odhiambo will miss out tonight because of the hamstring injury he picked up at Mangotsfield and the only other absentee from Julian McCalmon's squad is long time injury victim Mark Bell. So we have virtually a full squad going into this game with Cirencester tonight.

Tonight's Squad - Warrell, Tetek, Eddie Odhiambo, Castle, Janes, Franklin, Brown, Gabbidon, Coyle, James, Browne, Martin, Quainton, Osbourne-Ricketts, Whitehead, McMahon, Organ, Benjamin.
