It was a wonderful away day for everyone from Kidlington as the trip to Cambridgeshire yielded a comfortable 4 - 1 victory.

Kidlington were the side applying all the early pressure and their endeavour created a number of chances most notably for the new boys Anaclet and Eddie Odhiambo.

The pressure finally told in the 18th minute when Eddie Odhiambo curled in a shot from the edge of the box for 1 - 0. kidlington kept the pressure on but the closest they came to increasing their lead was a brilliant shot from Tommy Castle, however Castle's strike hit the post.

Kidlington were then caught by a sucker punch when Histon equalised just before half time. Harry McGregor hit a speculative shot which eluded keeper Sam Warrell and looped into the net.

The second half started with renewed vigour being shown from the home side which saw a Jake Chambers-Shaw effort curl wide before substitute Ben Yeomens headed wide from a corner.

Up the other end Jack Dunmalls running was still causing the home defence plenty of problems, he was unlucky in the 64th minute when a great shot from him shot went wide.

Kidlington were awarded a penalty of 75 minutes and the Histon player that committed the offence was red carded. cool as you like Anaclet Odhiambo took the spot kick and slotted it away neatly for 2 - 1 to Kiddy.

A fine save from Sam Warrell kept the lead intact and then in the closing minutes Anaclet Odhiambo netted his second goal of the game which made the match safe.

In injury time and still pushing forward Kidlington's Jack Dunmall turned home a shot from Lewis Gabbidon for 4 - 1.

This result was just what Kidlington needed to keep momentum that they created last week going, it's now 2 wins from 2 games for new manager Julian McCalmom and his revamped side. Next up is another league match this Tuesday evening at Yarnton Road Stadium against Aylesbury FC, k.o. 7:45pm.
