Firsts At Home This Weekend, Here's The Team News

2 weeks ago By Simon Dickens

This Saturday Kidlington take on Sutton Coldfield Town at Yarnton Road Stadium, kick off 3:00pm.

Last weekend The Greens beat Aylesbury away to register their first 3 point haul of the season, which was very pleasing for all involved. Mid-week and with a much changed side The Greens traveled to Didcot Town for a City Security Services Limited League Challenge Cup match. Unfortunately we lost 1 - 0 to a wonder strike from Didcot's Dave Murphy. After the game Kidlington manager Ady Fuller was full of praise for his young team, he said, " I needed to change the team around quite a bit and played basically a team of youngsters and to be honest they did me and club proud".

This weekends clash pairs the bottom two sides in the division together, both managers and their teams will be desperate for a win so it will hopefully be an exciting match. Should Kidlington win they would move off the bottom for the table for the 1st time this season.

Squad news for Saturday is that Tommy Castle, Ben Willoughby, Jack Quanton and Liam Talboys are all away and will miss out. Kane Finney and Brandon Oddy return after their recent batch of flu whilst Ollie Stanbridge and Jamie Calvin are available again.

Tom Franklin has a slight back problem, but Fuller reports he should be fit and Harry Whitehead returns after being cup tied for the Didcot match, Joey Cowlishaw has a dead leg and again it is hoped he will also be available.

Squad for Saturday - Sam Warrell, Nathan Bott, Josh Urquhart, Tom Franklin, Harry Whitehead, Kane Finney, Joe Coleman, Ollie Stanbridge, Brad Singh, Luke Peerless, Jamie Calvin, Callum Harvey, Brandon Oddy, Joey Cowlishaw, Liam Carrol.
