Last Saturday the 1st teams run of seven games in a row came to end when we were beaten 4 - 2 at promotion chasing Barton Rovers.

Those that were there watched Kidlington boss the match at Barton but after keeper Sam Warrell was dismissed for a last man incident the hosts turned the tide and came out on top. Kidlington's goal scorers were Lewis Coyle & Anaclet Odhiambo.

This weekends visitors Northwood have not been in good form of late and have drooped down the league table into 18th position. They have lost their last 6 league matches and are without a win in 9 games. Kidlington played away against Northwood back in early December in a match The Green's won 4 - 2 courtesy of our little magician, Lewis Coyle, who netted all of our goals that day.

Club News - This week club stalwart Chris Weedon (pictured) has announced he's to call time on his playing career due to his latest knee injury, he’s made this decision on the advise of the medical fraternity. It's a sad day for Kidlington FC as right back Chris has been part of the very fabric of the club for 10 years or so.
First Team Manager Julian McCalmon commented to say -
" I would like to thank Weed's for his services, he really was a top servant to Kidlington FC and more importantly a real gentleman. Chris who's love of the club and the game could never be questioned. He will be sadly missed especially for his tigerish tackling and his tenacity on the field of play, good luck Weed's on what ever path life now takes on and of course you are welcome down at the club at any time.

For this weekends match Sam Warrell is suspended and leading scorer Anaclet Odhiambo will be missing because he’s Best Man at a friends wedding. Henry Owen, Kristen Thomas and Ben Weedon remain side-lined because of injury.

Squad for Saturday - Tetek, Willoughby, Quainton, Franklin, Flanagan, Castle, Coyle, Osbourne-Rickets, Gabbidon, Janes, Harvey, E.Odhiambo, Dunmall, Whitehead
