I have just looked back to find the answer to this because I was beginning to think that home ties didn't exists anymore.....read on

Unbelievably our last home cup game was back on August 16th last year against Newbury in an FA Cup Extra Preliminary round. We won that match and were rewarded with a trip to Wantage Town the first of a string of many away cup fixtures.

We lost to Wantage Town 3 - 2 and since then no matter what cup competition we have been in we have always been drawn to play away.

Here is a list of these games starting last season 2014-15

Wantage L 3- 2 FA Cup
Slimbridge L 1 - 0 FA Vase
Thatcham W 4 - 2 Floodlit Cup
Lydney L 3 - 2 Hellenic Challange Cup
Lydney L4 - 2 Floodlit Cup
Eynsham W 6 - 0 Oxon Senior Cup
Ardley L4 - 0 Oxon Senior Cup
Tuffley D 1 - 1 (won on pens) Supp Cup
Abingdon W 6 - 2 Supp Cup
Easington L 7 - 0 Supp Cup

Start 2015-16
Ascot W 2 - 1 FA Cup

Thats 11 games played away from home in a row but the story really doesn't end there does it, oh no..

Our reward for beating Ascot is an away tie against Chertey Town in the FA Cup next Saturday. Then we also have the draws for this seasons Floodlit Cup where we have been drawn to play away at Tuffley and in the Challenge Cup we have been drawn to play away to Cirencester Development.

So add the first 11 and another 3 matches it bring the total to 14 matches drawn away.

We have however been drawn at home in the Oxox Senior cup to play the winners of Garsington or Woodcote/Stoke Row in the week commencing 29th October 2015.

As yet we don't know who our opponents might be in the FA Vase as KFC are exempt till the 1st Round proper, but that won't be till October anyway. So it's well over a year since we last played a home game in a cup competition and effectively 14 matches.

Are we unlucky or what surely this must be some sort of record?
