As their pre-season nears the sharp end Nick East's reserves are slipping through the gears nicely with another win this time at KEA Bicester..read on

Kidlington reserves registered another impressive win on Tuesday evening, beating Banbury & District Division One Champions KEA Bicester 6-2.

This followed up their 2-1 triumph against North Berks Champions, Berinsfield last week.

Despite going 1-0 down early on against KEA, a long passage of controlled possession for Kidlington followed and this ended with the energetic Elliott Powell scoring with a powerful shot at the second attempt.

Kidlington were then dominating proceedings, but KEA went back in front when they scored with a tap in from a corner just before half time.

Trailing against the run of play at half time, 'The Greens' were determined to put things right and the mercurial Callum Rice scored a Beckham/Alonso type strike from the half way line to level proceedings.

After this goal Kidlington ran riot with new signing Martin Dawson (pictured) running the KEA defence a merry dance. Shortly after 'The Greens' kept it in the family, with further strikes from the superb Mark Gaul and youngster Jack Gaul.

The impressive Dawson finished a fantastic team move before coming off with an injury. Goal number six was scored by Anton Mundy from 25 yards who seems to be having his own goal of the season competition before it even starts!!!!

Next match will be another stiff test against Senior League Premier Division Eynsham FC, this Saturday…………………………..COYG

Well done everyone :-)
