An all round very good team performance enabled Kidlington to secure all three points with this 2 - 1 win.....

Bracknell Town 1 Kidlington 2

Kidlington kicked down the infamous slope in the 1st half and had the better of the early proceedings, but couldn't secure that all important 1st goal.
Bracknell were a lively outfit with some big units throughout their squad and the way they looked most likely to score would be from a set play. The hosts nearly did just that in the 15rth minute when a Bracknell player rose high to beat Matt Hyslop to a ball but the lad headed wide of the mark.
Kidlington then seemed to up their game again and a flurry of half chances came and went, then In the 36th minute Lewis Coyle (pictured) waved some magic to score a cracker. Coyle received the ball about 30 yards out, he avoided a couple of challenges before firing low and hard into the right side of the goal for 1 - 0.
Just 3 minutes later and it was 2 - 0. It was Coyle again that smashed the ball into the net but several Kiddy players were involved in the build up. Jack Brown-Porter played the ball down the flank to Tommy Castle, Castle cut inside and played a sweet pass to Charlie Cassettari, Casstettari shot but his attempt was blocked and the ball fell invitingly for Coyle and he finished it well.
After this melee things settled down and we went into the half time break with Kidlington leading 2 - 0.
You could have expected Bracknell to come out for the second half really pumped up and looking to get and early goal back, and that's exactly what happened.
Bracknell applied some early pressure but Kidlington's defence marshalled by Tommy Franklin stood firm.
Kidlington weathered the early pressure and began to take the game once again to their hosts. Soon Kidlington were back on top and it certainly appeared that out of the two sides Kidlington looked far more likely to net a goal.
In the 57th minute the game was to change. A strong challange by Franklin was was adjudged to have been unfair. Stupidly many of the Bracknell players surrounded Franklin and grabbed hold of him, then other players from both sides got involved in what appeared to be a very unsavoury moment of madness with several players being overly aggressive.
The end result was a booking for Franklin for the initial challange and a red card for Kidlington's Ben Willoughby for violent conduct. Why Willoughby was the only player singled out from that I don't know as from what I saw players from both sides well overstepped the mark. I think he was just the unlucky one!!
Anyway after this it was 11 v 10 and Bracknell had the advantage of their slope.
Although the visitors were a man down they were now dominating possession, this is what often happens as the 10 men step up their game and this Kidlington did.
Coyle was denied by a fine save from the home keeper and Ryan Curtin had a glorious chance to sow the game up but steered his shot agonisingly wide of an open goal. In the last few minutes Bracknell threw everything forward but once again Kidlington's defence held firm, that until the 4th minute of injury time. A free kick from wide on the right was fired into the box where Tom Nugent got his head to the ball, it then evaded everyone and found the back of the net for 2 - 1.
Before the game could be restarted our Match Referee blew his whistle for the end of the game and Kidlington had picked up another good three points from an away day.
The news before the match was that Skipper Chris Blakley had broken his arm in a works accident and would therefore be unavailable, all at KFC wish him well for a speedy recovery.

Better news is that Jack Quainton will be back in the squad for Tuesday's home game with Milton and James McGowan will soon be fit maybe even for Tuesday's game.
Enjoy and COYG
