The best way to keep up to date with Kidlington Football Club

Lewis Is Staying A Green

2 months ago By Simon Dickens

I've been in contact with Lewis Gabbidon after he made his decision to reject Banbury's on

Banbury United had put in a seven day approach for Gabby, but after some consultation with KFC Manger Julian McCalmon he's decided to stay with us at Yarnton Road. We are all obviously delighted about this as Gabbie is an integral and important member of the side.

I asked Lewis for the reason he'd declined the Banbury offer and this is what he told me;

"There are a couple reasons why I decided against it. Obviously my loyalty to the boys and management team here at Kidlington, I really see them all as family. I believe in what we are trying to achieve and want to help in anyway I can. The higher level is tempting but I think with this team we have a real chance to get there. Also the club is an important club to me personally since winning the Hellenic it’s home and I’m enjoying the progress the club is showing and I want to help KFC get as high as we possibly can".

Well played Lewis and COYG
