Kidlington reserves were frustratingly well below par in the Uhlsport Hellenic Chairman's Cup Final on Saturday against Flackwell Heath.....read on

A goal in the 30th minute from Nathan Green settled matters in this Cup Final.

The goal had followed a missed penalty from the Heathens and also a missed spot kick from Kidlington captain Callum Rice as well.

On a poor pitch at Letcombe FC, that didn't at all suit Kidlington's passing game, the team from the Division Two East, Flackwell Heath took home the cup.

The Heathens more physical and direct approach suited the occasion best and in the end they were worthy winners.

After a promising season Nick East's reserve team have to settle for runners up in Division Two West as well as now runners up in this season's Chairman’s Cup.

It has been a thoroughly enjoyable year for the 'Green Machine' with many high points, though Saturday was certainly a low point.
