Royal Wootton Bassett Town FC are the visitors this Saturday to Yarnton Road for a league game, k.o. 3:00pm.....read on

Kidlington FC are scheduled to play Royal Wootton Bassett Town at Yarnton Road on Saturday 13 Feb and we'll all be hoping the weather will be kind and allow us to get our Hellenic Premier League challenge back on track following last week’s postponement against Ardley United. In comments to club Press Officer, Kidlington manager Martin Wilkinson said:

“Last week’s postponement was disappointing but it is vitally important that we don’t get distracted by things we cannot control. The weather will always play a part at this stage of the season and we just have to remain focused and professional. The lads are still chomping at the bit and everyone is eager to start fixtures, so competition for places remains healthy and we are still on target to achieve all the goals we set at the start of the season. On and off the pitch, people are working extremely hard to take Kidlington to a new level, and I have no doubt that the hard work will continue to the end of the season and beyond. Nothing is going to de-rail that and that includes the weather.”

When questioned about the game against Wootton Basset, Wilkinson commented:

“As always I take nothing for granted in this league and Wootton Bassett offer another tough test for us, but it is a test we can certainly overcome and I'm looking for a top performance from my players on Saturday. I was disappointed with our last performance against Thame United, so you can rest assured that I will be looking for an improved performance against Wootton Bassett.”

For this match Kidlington will have new signing Jimmy Deabill and a fit again Mark Flanagan in the squad. Unfortunately Ryan Brooks (back problem) and Ben Weedon (hamstring) will be missing.

Squad From: Sam Warrell, Chris Weedon, Mark Flanagan, Henry Owen, Tom Franklin, Joel Meade, Lewis Brownhill, Eric Odhiambo, Anaclet Odhiambo, Lewis Coyle, Lewis Gabbidon, Tommy Castle, Kristian Thomas, Ben Willoughby, Jack Quainton, Jimmy Deabill.
