Ladeside failed to convert their chances and were held to a draw by 10 man Glenafton who held on for almost 30 mins to take a share of the points. It was the home side who started the better and 5 mins in a good run and cross to the far post saw Juskowiak head towards goal but McGarry got down to save low to his left. the away side had a good chance a minute later when a loose pass by Sweeney saw dallas cross for McCann but he headed wide.

After dominating most of the possession it was Ladeside who took the lead on 27 mins. A cross ball into the middle of the box found Williamson and although his shot was blocked the ball fell to Roberts( pictured) coming in from the right to smash a shot low into the far corner past McGarry. On 40 mins a McGill corner found the head of O'Byrne but he headed just wide of the target. Last chance of the half saw a Sweeney free kick into the box where Williamson headed goal ward but the ball came off the post before Mcgarry then got a hand on the ball to keep it out.

Glenafton had a chance at the start of the 2nd half when a ball into the box broke off a Kilbirnie defender to McCann but he fired his shot across goal and wide of the post. Williamson then came close with a long range effort for Kilbirnie before Glenafton drew level on 59 mins after being awarded a penalty when Lynass went down in the box. dallas slotted the resultant kick into the left hand corner. the away side were then reduced to 10 men when McKernon was booked for a blatant dive but continued his protest with the referee who then showed him a red card. midway through the half a Roberts corner found O'Byrne in the box but he headed just wide of the target.

Glenafton looked to take advantage of Kilbirnie pressing forward for a winner and firstly Borris crossed for McCann but he headed wide before Moore sent in a low teasing cross which dallas stabbed just wide. At the other end McGarry saved another header from O'Byrne after a Roberts corner and Stokes fired wide from 25 yards after a good run.Some good play between McGill and Williamson set Roberts up 14 yards out but he sliced his shot wide of the target before Burbrige set up Sweeney but his effort was deflected wide. last chance of the game fell to Glenafton when McCann turned inside the box but fired his shot wide.
