BROWNES CUP
The Browne's Cup has been donated to Kilburn Cosmos RFC by Club Patron John Hoskins. Previously, it was competed for annually in a competition involving clubs from North West London at Sudbury Court RFC, the club where John played. Sudbury Court has since ceased to be and John was very keen for Kilburn Cosmos to revive the competition.
Commenting, Jonathan Trout, 2010 Cosmos Chairman, said: “Our aim has always been to make rugby available to everyone in the local community, regardless of age, gender, background or ability. With the superb investment in sporting facilities by Brent Council, we can really take this on at Gladstone Park. I urge anyone who is keen on rugby either as a player, volunteer or enthusiastic spectator to come and see what their local club has to offer at the next Browne's Cup day.
We have come on leaps and bounds in the last 3 years, with over 100 junior players and three senior teams. Rugby has big following in the area and we want to give people the chance to get involved or get behind their local team."
