Cosmos Latin 3 but score 7 at Verulamians!
U15's play like Gladiators in their first game of MMXII
Last Sunday the U15’s travelled up to St Albans to take on Verulamians in their first match of the New Year.
And earlier call meant everyone was present and correct for 10.15 which gave us plenty of time too sort ourselves out, get warmed up & switched on!
Captain Tom led the pre match team talk and with a big old KILBURN chant the match kicked off!
Verulamiam’s have teamed up with Datchworth RFC who play in Division 4 and from the off we could tell this ‘weren’t gonna be no stroll in the park’. Solid pressure from The V’s saw them score a try within 5 minutes......”Here we go again” I thought
A missed kick saw the score at 5 nil and the Cosmos on the back foot..... For Just a little while.
What seemed like a switch turned on in the Kilburn boys and off they went. Running rugby, solid passing & competing at the ruck saw them over the try line almost instantly.
With confidence restored the lads started to believe in themselves and more try's followed backed up by great kicks from No’12 Conrad.
Conrad scored 3 tries and converted 6 out of the seven we scored. Captain Tom the fullback, Outside Centre ZZ, Winger Zaki and Flyhalf Charlie all grabbed tries as well.

I’m making the whole team men off the match with special mentions to Conrad the Barbarian (3 tries 6 kicks)
Next week we host Bedford.
