Cosmos U15’s get a dose of the Hill St Blues!
On Sunday title chasing Bedford Blues came down to Gladstone and took on the Cosmos U15’s.
Still confident after our last match the Kilburn boys started very nicely, created chances, got stuck in and with a cracking run from No12 Conrad M scored the first try!
Bedford however soon got their gameheads on and came back at us with some classy play of their own.
The Blues are a good outfit and it showed with more tries to follow.
But throughout the onslaught the Cosmos never dropped their heads.... (Too low) and eventually a cracking steal and run saw No8 Harry H score a great try under the posts! Nicely converted by booting specialist Conrad M.
Changes in the second half saw battling Conrad off with a knee injury replaced by U14! Sajjad. Bedford bringing on 6 replacements didn’t really help the cause much but the Cosmos defence stayed strong with tackle after tackle coming from our lads.
Even in defeat I have to say that this was probably the best and by far the bravest performance so far from this team.
Final score, Bedford Blues 30 : 12 Kilburn Cosmos.
Man of the match, ZZ (machine) who seemed to be everywhere on the pitch....at the same time!
Mentions though go to the whole team again, WELL DONE>
