Kilburn travelled to Havant for a fixture that would determine Havant's league position for the season and whether they would gain promotion.
Kilburn, determined to learn from their last match against Trojans, started strong and put pressure on Havant from the start. Each try Havant scored in the first half was the result of successive phases of play where Kilburn continued to break their run and created rucks and mauls. The cover tackles from fullback Charlotte Edwards were suberb and saved many tries in the first half. The skill of Havant however meant that they maximised opportunities and went in to the end of the first half with a substantial lead established.
Kilburn played a defensive second half determined to hold Havant to as small a win as possible. Unable to create a clean enough break, Kilburn failed to find the try line throughout the game, although they came close thnks to break away runs from maddie gunnell, Caitlin James, Katie Jewell and Luc Zaug, but the fitness and training of Havant never allowed Kilburn to maximise on the breaks created.
