5 years ago By Ali McCall

Scotland U18s v Wales U18s at Braidholm Glasgow Sunday 11th March 2pm KO

Congratulations to Blair Jardine and Darcy Rae who have both been selected for the Scotland U18 squad to play Wales U18s at Braidholm on Sunday 11th March 2.00pm KO

Blair has been a regular 1st XV player this season and is also the 1st XV captain at Carrick Academy while Darcy is part of the SRU Academy programme under the guidance of Rory Couper and after a 10 week lay off due to injury made his 1st XV debut in the recent shield win against Garnock.

1st XV coach Gordon Brown has been delighted with both boys progress since the start of the season. He said:

"Both boys have tremendous ability and both have a great work ethic. They have been and will continue to benefit from playing 1st XV rugby learning their trade in match situations as well as working on the individual areas of development that we have identified. There is no doubt that both Blair and Darcy can go far in the game and Kilmarnock RFC will do what it can to support both boys.Being selected for Scotland is just rewards for their efforts both on and off the field"

Everybody at Kilmarnock RFC would like to wish the boys the best of luck for Sundays game. Get along to Braidholm if you can on Sunday and give the boys your support.
