It was a strange day following over a week of chasing Emley Moor we finally managed to make contact 10 minutes before the match to confirm that nobody had been in touch and Emley do not even have a U7's team and advised the league of this weeks ago.

While just a little frustrating this did provide some obvious benefits.

We had an EXCELLENT turn out with 14 kids making themselves available to play so we could put on a game so the day was not wasted. It also provided the possibility to play an old format game to see how the kids got on. I think we all agree we all enjoyed this format including the parents. You will also have noticed me spending a bit of time with an Activator (these are people from the RFL who are turning up to make sure we are playing the new format).

I got to quiz and challenge our on going views on the new format. I have added an update on this below. What he did comment on what the quality of our players and the great sprit within the team. As he had come over from Leeds just for this he also enjoyed the game.
