Kingfishers faced their toughest opponent so far in the summer season - a mixed up Weston team. Both teams started slowly but Kings shooters soon found their rhythm and a confident Amy didn't miss. However, Weston's experienced attackers controlled play and after some weak passing by Kings, Weston took the lead. Throughout the match, Kings remained just a few goals behind but in the last quarter, Nicky, Kelly and Caroline upped their game in defence, standing firm and not allowing their opponents to push them around. As a result, Kingfishers - sponsored by Hussain's Indian Restaurant - just grasped the win 37-36. A well fought match by all and Kings pass the halfway point with a 100% win record. New players always welcome at Wyvern 8pm Monday.
