Kingfishers netball club faced their toughest opponents in their summer league group - Bobbies. However, they came to the match with a determined attitude and fighting spirit resulting in an early lead. Jane (GS) stood up well against a constant barrage of physical defence sinking everything passed to her. But without a doubt, the player of the match (for a second week running) was Kelly (GD). With excellent ball watching, she was able to secure numerous interceptions and made sure her opponent made no impact on the game. Bobbies made a few tactical changes at half time resulting in a brief lack of confidence and concentration from Kings, but it was not enough to catch up the defecit and Kings well deserved the resounding 38-25 victory. Undefeated, Kings finish top of the table and are through to the semi-final in 2 weeks. New players always welcome at Wyvern 8pm Monday.
