As set out in our last tour Madrid is the focus for our end of season celebrations.  Currently we anticipate this to be our biggest tour ever, surpassing the 125 people who went to Brussels (2014) and Nashville (2015).  We might even see an elusive pack of Mammoths take to the field.

As you might have guessed, organisation is a little more relaxed than we are used to.  The Union Cup Information website will be updates shortly (prob mid Jan).  Currently please budget around 120 Euros for registration, though we are assured this will go down.

The club is also investigating accommodation.  As you can imagine not all hotels have 75-100 rooms available, particularly at a price point that we can all afford.  We should be able to confirm arrangements in this regard shortly.  Once this is nailed down, we will be able to tell you the total cost, including any Tour schwag.

Please book your travel arrangements now - please try to be in Madrid for Friday evening (28th April) and if possible book your return for the Tuesday (2nd or late on the 1st) as we are aiming for a club day on the first of May (which is a bank holiday).

Currently the only real rugby details we have is that Games will be played at Polideportivo Municipal de Orcasitas on the Saturday and the Sunday (29th/30th).  There will be a mixture of Grass and Turf pitches (and yes we have asked about having more grass, and about the ‘hardness’ of the pitches) and buses are promised to/from the hotels.

Given how beaten up some of you got in Nashville - Remember to book some travel insurance and update your European Health Insurance Card.
