The evening was presented by Anne Adams of the Dudley Stroke Association who spoke a little about the charity and explained the importance of the FAST message. Essentially the sooner you can recognize the signs of a stroke starting, the sooner you can get someone to hospital, the sooner that someone can be thrombylised which then dramatically decreases the chances of the stroke taking hold or worsening.
Kit and tracksuits displaying the FAST message were then presented to lots of local sporting teams, including us! We were also presented with a banner which we can tie to the safety barrier during home games and leaflets which we intend to hand out in due course.
The team will wear the tracksuit for the first time prior to the match with Bilbrook on Sunday 22nd January and this should provide a good photo opportunity - the first one since we had the last team picture taken when the players all looked like babbies (even the coaches!).
Thanks for your support, in particular to everyone who attended for the presentation. I think we were the only team represented with every single player in attendance so thank you.
