Win in Sunny St Andrews
Great away team performance
A depleted Kinross team turned up in St Andrews and wasted no time in powering ahead with a try from the veteran Neil Gibson which was converted by Gav Hardie. We then controlled the remainder of the first quarter without adding to our lead, although Stuart Hunter came close. After conceding three points through a penalty, we then scored two quick-fire tries through Aiden Crichton and Andrew Wilcox, the second of which came directly from the restart. The boys comfortably controlled the rest of the first half, without adding to their lead.
At half-time, the team discussed raising their game and ensuring that they did not allow Madras back into it. We did not get off to the best of starts as Fraser Ross was unfortunate to see a yellow card when he was driven over a ruck and ended up on the ground. Parity was soon restored when Madras also had a player yellow-carded. With even numbers, the dominant Kinross team soon extended their lead with Kieron Methven running in the bonus point try after a great chip from Gav Hardie, who also converted the try. Unfortunately a couple of lapses allowed Madras straight back into the game with a try in the corner, which they failed to convert. The team saw out the remaining half hour fairly comfortably and almost added to their tally after a great run from Sid McAulay where only a last gasp tackle from the Madras full-back denied Sid a well deserved try.

Let's follow it up with a few more results.
Ollie Cox - 8 months agoJust like to say a great big well done for yesterday. A fantastic effort from everyone and a richly deserved win. Thanks also to those subs that travelled but didn't play.
