Directions to Wolviston
Saturday sees us travel to Wolviston, a relatively short trip and directions are as follows:-
Go via Helmsley and Stokesley. Go straight ahead at first roundabout on reaching Stokesley and continue on A172 heading towards Middlesbrough. After abt half a mile take 2nd exit at roundabout onto B1365 (signed Hemlington, Acklam & Stockton). Stay on this road (there are a few twists and turns) for abt 4½ miles crossing two roundabouts and then merge onto A174 heading to A19. After 2 miles take the 3rd exit at roundabout onto A19 North. Stay on A19 for abt 5 miles keeping to left lane after crossing the Tees Flyover and then take A1027 exit for Norton & Billingham. At the roundabout take the 3rd exit towards Billingham and after abt 400 yards take 1st exit at next roundabout onto Wolviston Road. Continue along this road for just over 1 mile and then take slip exit on left down slope to roundabout. Take 1st exit at this roundabout onto Thames Road which becomes Sandy Lane West and then Wynard Road. Metcalfe Park, the home of Wolviston FC is on the left after 1¼ miles, about 100 yards after a left hand bend.
