Course Description:
Kirkley and Pakefield Education (KAPE) has been designed for 16-19 year olds that wish to combine both full-time study and an extensive training and fixture programme. As part of the programme students will have access to the full academy provision at Kirkley and Pakefield Football Club, the comprehensive range of resources and materials at Lowestoft College, educational visits, talks from guest speakers to help aid career choices, football tours both in the UK and abroad and access to a trained counsellor, life coach and specialist careers advisor for confidential advice, guidance and support.

What future does this course offer?
Upon completion of the diploma students may wish to progress into higher education, scholarships abroad or employment in a range of careers such as sports coaching, development, instructing, teaching, performance analysis and facility management.

Students who excel on the course will also have the opportunity to earn football contracts with the Kirkley and Pakefield First Team.

Additional Information:
KAPE students will be based at Kirkley and Pakefield Football Club, where they will receive a minimum of 6 hours training per week delivered by UEFA qualified coaches.

Students would represent the programme in the English Colleges League and will be available for selection for the club's under-18 team who play in the Thurlow Nunn Floodlit League and the FA Youth Cup, the adult teams who participate in the Anglian Combination Premier Division (Reserves) and the Thurlow Nunn Premier Division (First Team).

Qualification
Students on the course will work towards a Level 3 Diploma in Sport (Performance and Excellence); they will also be able to access additional qualifications such as awards in Coaching Football.
