Knaphill Athletic are proud to announce we have achieved The FA's Charter Standard Community Club Award.

This means our youth section now joins the adult section who were awarded Charter Standard Adult Club status in November 2010 and reinforces our aim to provide football for the local community.

The Charter Standard Scheme sets standards for coaching, administration and child protection for all clubs outside the Premier League and Football League. As a benchmark for quality, it improves the playing experience for all and are demonstrates to all members, parents, sponsors and the public, that we are a well-organised, safe club offering opportunities for all.

At the time of writing we're one of only 650 clubs nationally, 22 clubs in Surrey and 3 clubs in the Woking area to be awarded the honour.

Thanks go to Paul Clayton for his hard work pulling it all together and to everybody at the club who supported us during the application process. As an ongoing project we all need to make sure we keep our standards up to ensure we keep this valuable accreditation.

New chairman Dean Roberts said "We're delighted to receive this recognition from The FA and it's a great reward for all the work everybody has put in ensuring the club is run along the right lines from top to bottom. We can be proud of our committment to the local community and we look forward to more achievements in the future".
