Weekend Roundup

By Des Clark, Monday April 2

The first team continued their unbeaten League run stretching back to December with a 2-2 draw away at Woking & Horsell thanks to a brace from Gary Butler. That took Butler to 25 goals in 25 appearances this season leaving him 4 games to find another 5 goals to beat last seasons tally.

The reserves went down 3-2 at home to Woking & Horsell Reserves in the Invitation Cup despite being 2-1 up with all the goals coming in the first half. Screamers from Calvin Grainger and Ben Stenning were matched by some equally good strikes from the opposition.

The A's got their first away win in the League since October at high-flying Elstead with a 3-2 win thanks to goals from Zac Wood and Wanderers U18's players Andy Bradford and Bradley Roberts.

The B's played their penultimate League game and dominated most of the play at home to University but went down 2-0 as the opposition nicked their goals in the last 5 minutes.
