10 Man Knappers Back On Track...

Knaphill's recorded a comfortable 3-0 win over Bedfont & Feltham on Saturday despite being reduced to 10 men on 17 minutes after Timmy Taylor was shown a straight red for foul and abusive language.

Jimmy Norman had given Knaphill the lead after only 2 minutes when his powerful strike was spilled by the Bedfont keeper and despite the best efforts of the hosts number one, the ball was adjudged to have gone over the line and Knaphill were in front.
Although not playing with great fluency due to the length of grass, Knaphill did managed to occupy the home defence on various occasions however poor finishing enabled the hosts to be only 1-0 down at half time.

The second half was more positive for Keith Hills side as they started to dominate proceedings. A fine move in the 18 yard box saw a good exchange of passes with Jimmy Norman, Jack Mazzone and Charlie Postance(pictured) with the latter finishing off the move with neat finish after 57 minutes. Knaphill continued to pile the pressure on Bedfont's goal and a combination of good goalkeeping and defending stopped the scoreline increasing with one goal bound effort cleared off the line following a powerful strike from Mazzone.

Mazzone however did get on the score sheet as he glided into the penalty and finished with a left footed effort in injury time.

A good win with what could of been a banana skin encounter and the fact manager Hills is still without a number of key players through injury and non availability.
