Knaphill progressed to the Emirates FA Cup First Preliminary Round with a 2-0 win over against Bournemouth at Victoria Park on Tuesday evening.
After the 0-0 draw at Redding Way on Saturday, The Knappers were still missing Danny Taylor and Timmy Taylor aswell as Danny Turner, Gavin Muir and Robbie Kersley. Ethan Losty and James Harris were drafted in and the Knappers were more of threat then they were on Saturday.
Although the hosts once again had the lions share of possession they only had one notable effort that Richard Shelley dealt with and it was Knaphill that took the lead on 35 minutes. A pin point Jimmy Norman header found Conner Close who planted his header past the stranded Bournemouth keeper to Knaphill in front.
A pretty much even contest continued in the second half however, the hosts were reduced to ten men after and further misery continued for Bournemouth when they were reduced to nine men after a altercation which resulted in a straight red card. At this point the hosts started to lose all discipline and Knaphill added a second with a fine finish from 10 yards on 75 minutes to put Knaphill firmly in control and into the next round.
