The club can confirm that goalkeeper Richard Shelley has announced his retirement from the game.
Shelley 35, unfortunately suffered a knee injury against Hartley Wintney in the Aldershot Senior Cup at Redding Way back in early March and recent MRI scans has revealed ruptured ACL and torn lateral miniscus which requires surgery.
Shelley joined the club in 2007 and went onto make over 300 appearances in two spells at Knaphill.
The club would like to thank Richard for his services to Knaphill Football Club and wish him a speedy recovery.
