Despite an overall good performance Knaphill slipped to a 3-1 defeat to Hanworth Villa at Redding Way on Saturday. Knaphill had to do without their main threat in Charlie Postance who started a two game suspension. Sixteen year old and youth team player Max Roffey made his first start for the first team in the absence of Richard Shelley whilst Sam Hamer retained his place following his impressive debut in the 3-2 win at Horley Town midweek.

Knaphill took the lead through a wonderful strike from Jimmy Norman and maybe should of extended their lead on several occasions. The visitors had a couple of chances them selves however it Knaphill who went into half time in front.

However four minutes into the second half and Villa were level through Levi King. Both sides continued to create chances and were both reduced reduced to ten men when Connor Close and Jesse Atiase were shown straight red cards after a off the ball incident, missed by the vast majority of everyone at the ground except the match officials.
With ten minutes remaining Villa took the lead with some indecisive Knaphill defending and five minutes later extended their lead with both goals scored by Tom Neale to leave Knaphill disappointed with result but a performance worthy of at least a point.
