Knaphill for second successive season fell at the first hurdle of the FA Cup with a 3-2 extra time defeat to fellow CCL Premier Division side Hanworth Villa at Redding Way on Tuesday night.
Having taken the lead through Jack Mazzone the visitors levelled matters just before half time. The second half Villa went in front however Jamie Doble was on hand two minutes later to take the tie into extra time.
Our host grabbed what proved to be the match winner with seven minutes remaining of extra time and book themselves a place into the next round against Wantage Town.
Credit to both sides who over both matches were a credit to the CCL.
