Knaphill travelled to Molesey to play the first ever U18 game on a Friday in the 1st Qualifying Round of the FA Youth Cup. A young team averaging 16 years and 3 months faced an older (17 years 4 months) and more physical Molesey side from the Rymans League.

Early exchanges were even until 4 goals in 12 minutes (including a soft penalty for Molesey) and a great poachers goal from debutant Rhys Brooks saw Molesey take a 4-1 lead. Just before first time Rhys got his second with a long range free-kick that the Molesely keep palmed in off the post.

Molesey took control of the game just after the hour with two quick goals and with Knaphill reduced to 9 men having made all their substitutions and Aaron Carthy & Joran Willis had to come off with injuries, two further late goals compounded Knaphill's misery.
