They collected two tries each; they now both average two tries a game. Bird opened the scoring with a break from the back of the scrum. Tim Evens who is quickly becoming a utility back was playing at inside centre and looked just as much at home as at stand off He has a knack of spotting a gap and exploiting it. This soon led to his first long range try. Rowntress scored next with a well taken converted try. But Borough secured the try bonus point before half time with a try from prop forward Phil Dodds and excellent run by wing Sam Walkden. At the break the home side were 26-7 up.

From the re-start Knaresborough carried on as the they left off, with team captain Kevin Brooks and his forwards dismantling the opposition’s pack. Further tries followed from Bird and Evens, Evens also kicked 3 conversions bringing his points tally for the game to 16. Rowntrees managed a consolation try on the stroke of full time.
