First team finish pre-season unbeaten

Ks come through toughest test yet. Raja Tandoori man of the match: Jack Evans

The Ks showed good character to come back from 2-0 down and complete their pre-season campaign unbeaten.

There were less than 60 seconds on the clock when Prendagast noticed Burnett off his line and sent the ball looping into the net from 40 yards. The Swifts' lead was doubled two minutes before the break when Prendagast wriggled through the Knebworth defence and squared for Hughes to finish from ten yards. The deficit was halved on the stroke of half time when Mulley's lofted pass found Chester's run and he clipped the ball over the goalkeeper and headed into the unguarded net.

Knebworth continued where they left off and enjoyed a spell of dominance. Shortly after the hour-mark Evan's forward ball to Klimek caught the Swifts defence knapping, Klimek's threaded pass found Mulley's run and he slipped the ball past the goalkeeper to level the score. The Ks should have snatched a winner late on but there was no final connection on teasing crosses from Harte and Pratt.
