Rovers return with win over Firsts
Knebworth suffered defeat at the hands of Sandridge. Raja Tandoori man of the match: Allan Taitt
The Ks were under pressure from the outset as Sandridge attacked with verve. Cieren Yapp headed over in the opening minutes before Seeby gave the visitors a fifth minute lead, meeting a cross field ball and sliding the ball past Adam Burnett. Hammond and Yapp, again, looked to extend the lead but were unable to find the target. Knebworth's best chances came for Jordan Folorunso, the first from Kadeem Gutzmore's cross which was just out of reach and the second a header stopped by Bell in the Rovers goal.
Knebworth's bright finish to the half didn't come out the other side of the interval and Sandridge were back on top. The visitors extended their lead just after the hour mark when Chavundra sent a looping header into the net from Hammond's deep cross. The Ks chased a goal and came close when Charlie Pratt's flick went narrowly over the crossbar from Gutzmore's cross. And Gutzmore had a chance of his own moments later, curling over from inside the box. The hosts were thankful to Burnett for keeping out a penalty with a superb low stop but were unable to gte back into the game.
