Reports from Knowle FC's fixtures over Easter as follows: Mixed fortunes over Easter for Knowle

On Saturday Knowle started slowly when visiting Leamington Hibernian. Leamington nearly took the lead twice early on with a deflected shot that Chris Knott in the Knowle goal was pleased to see just miss the post and he was grateful that a Leamington striker shot straight at him when they created an opening shortly afterwards. However, Leamington did take the lead in the 21st minute when they played a ball in behind the Knowle defence and Alister Wrist lobbed Knott.

Knowle responded well and were level within 10 minutes. Torryn Connelly charged down the home keeper's and was then fouled by the keeper with Nathan Corry converting from the spot. They then took the lead when Jamie Corrigan split the defence for Connelly to break through and slot home from the edge of the area. The pair nearly repeated the feat a minute later but this time Connelly's shot drifted just wide of the upright. As the half came to an end Leamington hit the bar with a speculative long range effort at one end and Niall Gilbride headed Sam Bethel's corner just over at the other.

Leamington were in disarray at the start of the second half when a defender headed against his own post from a Gilbride cross. From the resultant corner Knowle extended their lead as Luke Fox headed back across goal for Jamie Corrigan to head home. 5 minutes later it was 4-1 when Callum Ingram threaded the ball through to Corry who cut into the box and drove into the far corner. Knowle made it 5-1 when the home keeper spilled Connelly's shot and then tripped Ingram as he got to the rebound. Corrigan made no mistake from the penalty spot. Knowle completed the rout with another penalty as Steven Ruck was brought down inside the area and again Corrigan made no mistake with his spot kick.

In contrast Knowle struggled at local rivals Earlswood on Easter Monday. Earlswood took the lead in the 13th minute when they allowed the home striker to turn in the area and shoot. Within 5 minutes the home team had doubled their lead Callum Mallet played the ball out of defence straight to an Earlswood player who put the ball in behind the Knowle defence for their striker to get there ahead of Conal Dowling and poke the ball home. Knowle tried to respond but were struggling to get through the home defence. Yahiya Todd played a ball into the area but Alexander Litwinko could not make a decent contact and the ball drifted wide. With 5 minutes of the half to go Jamie Corrigan drove towards goal but his shot was straight at the home keeper. Then Steven Ruck came in off the wing and his drive from outside the box was tipped round the post.

Callum Ingram blasted over from 12 yards within 5 minutes of the restart and midway through the half Earlswood cleared Spencer Dixon's effort off the line. However, with Knowle pressing at one end they got caught at the other with Callum Mallet pulling back the Earlswood centre forward when through to receive a straight red card and Knowle had to rely on a great save from Conal Dowling to keep out the resultant free kick. Whilst Luke Fox hit the bar and Steven Ruck had an effort deflected just wide Knowle were facing an uphill task and Earlswood kept them out.

Homeless Knowle next return to Earlswood's ground on Saturday to play Feckenham.
