Celebrating our very own Sapphire Player - Ciara Waller - Ironwomen 2011
Massive congratulations goes out to Ciara Waller (Sapphires C/WA) who has just got back from Australia were she competed in the Ironman 2011 competition. Ciara has been training hard for this event over the last year, which has meant a lot of early morning swims, rides and runs, sacrificing many nights out to achieve peak physical condition (and we all know how much Ciara likes her nights out!). Ciara has competed in a number of triathlons across Asia over the past few months – all set for the main event last weekend.
Results - Finishing in 11 hours 17 mins, 1.05 for swim (3.8km), 5.47 for the bike (180km) and 4.13 for the run (42km). Coming in 337rd overall and 8th in her age group!!
