Specials Special Performance
This Saturday past the Altus Kowloon Specials showed why they are top of Community League 2 with a superb performance against HKCC Force at Kings Park
With the 1st and 2nd XV having a week off the onus was on the 3rd XV, Beavers and Specials to bring up the W's for the Loon faithful.
In the way of the Specials stood HKCC Force who have had a tough time of things this season, but were rejuvenated by some old faces returning.
The Specials missing a few regulars still fielded an incredibly strong team, with Paddy and Fyfey out wide ready to cause havoc and Yves flying off the back of the set piece. Young Rory Hain had made his club debut for the 3rd team earlier in the day and was on the bench here too.
For the supporting 1st team players in the stands there was a masterclass about to unfold, with some champagne rugby put on as the Specials racked up 81 points in an 81-0 bashing of the Cricket Club men.
Fyfey ran in 5 tries (with a cheeky assist to Trigger to boot), Yves scored a hatful, Mallesy and John the Bruce smashed their way around the field and Spainy will be very pleased to walk away with a great victory and the Specials sitting pretty at the top of Community League 2!
Well done lads, a great showpiece and we look forward to supporting the boys on their march towards the league title!
