Upon seeing just 17 boys turning out for this fixture, and what with Tregaron looking the part in pre match warm up my concerns grew a little, however the boys that took to the field last night did themselves more than proud in what was a bannana skin of a fixture for us. The night for me was summed up by our pack, much the smaller to the eye, pushing Tregaron off their put in, midway into the first 20.Many 1stXV players injured on the sidelines will be anxious to get back into action this weekend to put their hands back up in contention for the first league game of the season. From a Saints point of view, the future looks a heck of a shade lighter than what it did a season ago. Thanks to many youth boys graduating and a few outsiders taking the game up our first game come Sept 12 is eagerly awaited. Narbeth 2nds on sat though. All the best lads. |

It is possible, that, a Tournament may be organised in a year or two called 'Four Nations.' Lampeter may be asked to represent Wales. This is from my club in South London, that in 2000 hosted an amateur World cup. (Wales won) Any thoughts? |
